Well, I got my film back and I've noticed that about every 20 frames, there's like 3-4 frames that go blurry. Anyway, I thought it was a pretty cool effect, but I have no idea how it happened, and never intended for it to happen.

It's kinda like in Fight Club when Tyler Durden(Brad Pitt) turns around to talk to the camera and the film starts shaking left to right and you can see the perforations.

You can't see the perforations with my film, but the image looks like it shakes from left to right for 3-4 frames every once in awhile. Do you know what the problem would be?
    Thanks
    Jeff

you probably got a one of those bad cartridges. the problem is that the film sticks to itself, and what you see is what happens when it lets go.

    Oh I see,

Yah, that's probably most like the case.

    Thanks!

I had a similar problem with a GAF super 8 camera. I asked a couple camera wizzes and they concluded that the combination of the claw and plastic pressure plate were creating poor registration and stability when the shutter is exposing the film. If it happens with another couple cartridges, I would say that poor registration due to the film claw is to blame. At least the camera could film some high intesity scene effects like you were saying in Fight Club, which was an optical trick using a special "image shaker" lens. I would keep the camera for such effects if it is considered damaged.
